On Saturday, October 11, 2009, Pudak Scientific held the Advanced Science Laboratorium Management Training in Pudak Training Centre, Gedebage, Bandung. This is the fourth “Advanced Science Lab Management Training of this year. There are  twenty seven participants of this training that come from various region of Indonesia, such as Bandung Jakarta, Malang, Medan, Serang, Bogor, Cirebon, Kendari, Kuningan, Depok, and Salatiga.

Pudak Scientific conducted this training as respond of the education stake holders’ interest to the “Basic Laboratory Management Training” which has been held since 2009. The purpose of this training is to improve the competence of science teachers and laboratory assistants in managing laboratory. The training focused on simulation activities associated to laboratory management. 

The laboratory management simulations of this training included:

• Simulation of conflict management.
• Simulation of storage and maintenance of equipment and materials
• Simulation of laboratory waste disposal
• Simulation of fire extinguisher devices usages

Participants were also invited to do some practices in order to optimize the laboratory’s equipment and material usage, such as:

• Rat surgery
• Blood type test
• Uniform Linear Motion
• Non-uniform Linear Motion
• Four arms balance usage

This training was based on the competition approach; therefore, the best participant group was announced in the end of the training session.


Our next training will be on chemistry, under the theme of “Chemistry Practices Training for School Learning Process in Accordance with 2013 Curriculum". This training will be held on October 20, with Dr. Hj Yunita, M.Pd. as the speaker. (complete schedule / online registration)
