Your Partner in Education, that is our slogan, Pudak Scientific, the pioneer of educational aids manufacturing in Indonesia. Referring to our vision and mission, we also actively support the educational personnel’s improvement by organizing trainings for teachers.   

On November 8, 2014, we held the “Training of Physic Practice in the Optical Concept in School”. This training was attended by educators from West Java Province (from Kuningan Regency, Cimahi City, Cianjur Regency, and Sumedang Regency), DKI Jakarta (West Jakarta), and Banten Province (Tangerang, Tangerang Selatan). The speaker for this training was Drs. Janto V. Sulungbudi, a physic lecturer of Universitas Parahyangan Bandung.

According to one of the participants, most educational aids available in his school had never been used because teacher didn’t know how to use it, thus those tools were unopened in their boxes. Therefore, this training would improve teachers’ knowledge regarding educational aids usage that would improve the practice activities in school. 

In the first session, Mr. Janto explained the geometry optic to the participants. In this occasion participants were also allowed to discuss the common problems of optic learning in school. This training continues with some experiment about optic, which include:

• Determining total shadow of a thing against two plane mirror that forming a certain angle
• Determining the focal of a positive lens
• Determining the mixture of additive and subtractive colors
• Determining the light-wave length
• Determining the laser wave length
• Light dispersion of prism
• Optical illusion

Participants were very enthusiastic in following the activities, particularly during experiment session, where they were involved to do the experiments.

Our next training will be the training of “Computer Based Experiment System Application in Science Learning Process” that will be held on November 15, 2015.
