In accordance with our vision and mission to continue to play an  active role in improving the quality of Indonesian education, Pudak Scientific had once again held the Workshop of Laboratory Management on March 9, 2017. Took place at  Pudak Training Center, in Gedebage, Bandung, this workshop was attended by participants from various region of the province of Jawa Barat.

The main speaker for this workshop was Dr. Yunita, M.Pd. She spoke very enthusiastically that participants were enjoying her presentation. In her presentation, she motivated participants to have more concern to school laboratories for a optimum usage of it in learning process in school. She also shared many tricks for laboratory equipment maintenance.

After break, participants visited Pudak Scientific’s factory to increase their awareness about educational aids production process. Next, workshop activity was continued by experiment practice in a fun and friendly atmosphere with instructors from Pudak Scientific’s Technical Support team.

The first experiment practice was on Chemistry that emphasized about the usage and maintenance of chemistry equipment. Moreover, participants also received tips and tricks of simple repairmen for chemistry equipment, such as burette repairmen and how to clean stains from glassware equipment. 

Next experiment practice was on Physics. This session discussed about how to use physics basic measurement devices that included calipers, screw micrometer, basic meter, stopwatch, and others. How to store and maintain these equipment were also discussed in this session.

The last experiment practice was on Biology. This practice discussed about microscope maintenance and storage, while doing stomata observation.

One participant said that the opportunity to attend this workshop was a good one because this workshop gave many benefits that can be applied in school laboratory.

We wish that our workshops held at Pudak Training Center or any other places could help educators in improving their competences for a better Indonesian education.
