Laboratory is not only required for science, social science also required laboratory. Therefore, Pudak Scientific, with its Pudak Loves Teachers movement, held the “Workshop of Social Science Laboratory Management” for social science teachers. This workshop was in particular discussed about how to build the proper social science laboratory in school.

This workshop was held on May 28, 2016 at Pudak Training Center in Gedebage, Bandung and was attended by teachers from various regions in West Java. Besides discussed about the social science laboratory management procedures, this workshop also discussed about the administration procedures, the educational aids that should be available in a social science laboratory, and the maintenance and usage of equipment available in the laboratory.

Drs. Asep Mulyadi, M. Pd., a lecturer of Faculty of Social Science Education of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, was the main speaker in this workshop. He explained about the importance of laboratory in a social science learning process. In this workshop participants were encouraged to actively involved in every activities. One activity that attracted participants’ enthusiasm was the activity of designing the layout of school’s social science laboratory. 

Workshop ended at 17.00 WIB. Through this workshop we wished to actively involved in improving teachers’ competences in Indonesia for a better Indonesian education.
