This year, Pudak Scientific and Center for Young Scientists (CYS) will have another cooperation to hold the Young Scientists Competition or YSC. YSC is a competition for young scientists of 13 – 19 years old to present their research. This is an event to find the best research presentation of junior high school students, senior high school students, and vocational school students from the region of West Java, Aceh, Bengkulu, Gorontalo, Jambi, Bangka Belitung Island, Riau Island, Lampung, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, Riau, Sulawesi, and West Sumatera.

Young researchers that will participate in YSC or other young scientists’ competition will not conduct their research independently, they need teachers to give guidance and supervise their research. Considering that circumstances, on May 21-22, 2016, Pudak Scientific held a workshop for teachers who will supervise students that will compete in young scientists’ competition.

Drs. Janto. Sulungbudi, the main speaker of this workshop, conveyed various materials on science. He shared various new matters and important information related to science research, that was noted enthusiastically by participants. Mrs. Monika Raharti, M. Si., the chairman of Young Researchers Development Foundation, took time to attend and supervise this workshop.

We really wished this 2 days workshop will be very useful for participants, particularly those who will supervise students that will compete in young scientists’ competitions.
